Jenan is an abstract painter and poet based in Charleston, SC. Her work has been showcased in galleries nationwide, and resides in private collections across the United States and Europe. Through her art and poetry, she creates pieces rich in healing, translating personal stories into vibrant canvases and luxury products.  

An inherent passion of Jenan’s since childhood, her paintings flourished following a series of life changing events in 2016. Through therapy and meditation, she began and embraced an intuitive, healing, and heart led approach to her work. 

While her art is abstract at first glance, much of it is inspired by the Lowcountry marsh and diverse floral gardens prevalent along the coast.  

Using French acrylics and oil pastels to create her colorful, textured pieces each painting tells a story-often expressing emotions rich in love, loss, grief, growth, joy, light, and freedom.  

A Clemson graduate, Jenan lived and worked in the Caribbean for several years in luxury real estate development, and spent summers creating art programs for underprivileged children.  

In 2020, she took the leap to pursue her dream of becoming a full-time artist & poet.  In 2024 she partnered with photographer, Beth Davis, to launch Jenan McClain design.
