I am an abstract painter and poet based in Charleston, South Carolina.

Through both art and poetry, I create pieces rooted in healing and emotion, translating personal stories into vibrant original paintings and thoughtfully designed luxury pieces.

Creating has been part of my soul since childhood, but my work deepened in 2016 following a series of life-changing experiences. Through therapy, meditation, and personal healing, I began to embrace a more intuitive, heart-led approach to life through painting and writing.

While my work is abstract, much of it is quietly informed by the Lowcountry landscape around me — the marsh, the ocean, the gardens, the movement, the light. Using French acrylics and oil pastels, I build colorful, textured pieces that explore themes of love, loss, grief, growth, joy, freedom, and renewal.

I am a proud Clemson University graduate and previously spent years living and working in the Caribbean in luxury real estate development. During that season of life, I also spent summers creating art programs for underserved children, an experience that further shaped the way I see creativity as both expression and connection.

In 2020, I took the leap to pursue my dream of becoming a full-time artist and poet. In 2024, that vision expanded with the launch of Jenan McClain Design.
